BONNYVILLE – Due to the forecasted weather, Canada Day celebrations in the Town of Bonnyville are moving inside.
Party in the Park activities will be moved from Little Leap Park to the Bonnyville and District Centennial Centre for Party at the C2. This decision was not made lightly and was done out of an abundance of caution due to the high levels of water anticipated to happen this weekend and before Canada Day.
The Town desires to ensure everyone can enjoy the celebration comfortably.
The locations of the Pancake Breakfast and Opening Ceremonies will remain the same. The parade will also continue as normal. The Town advises attendees to dress according to the weather at the time.
This change of venue won’t stop the celebrations. Food trucks, the Bonnyville Farmer’s Market, Beer Gardens, kids’ entertainment, the balloon man, and more will all still be happening. Canadian rock icons Prism and Streetheart will take the stage at 8 p.m. and 9:45 p.m., respectively.
Fireworks are still planned for dusk, weather permitting. The launch location is currently being finalized and will be shared as soon as that information is available.
We hope to see everyone throughout the day, especially at Party at the C2.
Any vendors who have not heard from the Town are encouraged to call 780-826-3496.
