Every fall, the Bonnyville Swimming Pool shuts down for a few weeks to perform annual maintenance, which began this year on August 31.
The annual shutdown allows staff to complete maintenance and repairs that are difficult to undertake while the facility is operating. This year’s work includes chemical line replacement, tile and expansion line repairs, boiler maintenance, and deck repairs and painting.
The main pool is expected to re-open in mid-to-late September.
Tot Pool Closure
While the main pool will re-open in a few weeks’ time, the Tot Pool will remain closed longer than originally anticipated for further repairs. It is expected that the Tot Pool will remain closed until the end of October.
Confirmed re-opening dates for both the main pool and tot pool will be shared as they become available.
