Starting October 1, 2026, the Town of Bonnyville is moving to an enhanced curbside recycling program managed by Circular Materials, a national not-for-profit organization dedicated to building efficient packaging and paper recycling systems across Alberta.

This new program expands what can go into your recycling, making it easier than ever to give materials a second life, conserve natural resources, and protect our local environment.

What’s New?

Beginning October 1, all Albertans will be able to recycle expanded materials, including:

• Glass containers
• Paper laminates (e.g., disposable coffee cups)
• Foam packaging
• Empty aerosol containers
• Flexible plastics and films

What to Expect Next

• Schedule & Guide Delivery: Keep an eye on your mailbox! Detailed recycling schedules and updated collection guides will be delivered to residents in September.
• Collection: Curbside recycling collection will continue, with the new system officially going live on October 1, 2026.
