BONNYVILLE – The Town of Bonnyville’s Rural Renewal Stream Program entered 2024 with hopes of continuing triumphs.
Since the Rural Renewal Stream Program was launched in Bonnyville in late November 2023, it has been a resounding success for workers and employers in the Town of Bonnyville.
There have been 46 work endorsement letters through the program since its inception, along with more than 100 job postings, 26 businesses participating in the program, and an additional dozen that have enquired about becoming part of it.
“The program has surpassed our expectations in terms of the uptake from businesses in the Town,” noted Town of Bonnyville Mayor Elisa Brosseau. “The program is allowing businesses to hire for positions that have been hard to fill and give confidence to businesses that if they need to find an additional workforce, that it is readily available. There are lots of job openings on the job board hosted on the Town’s website that locals or foreign workers can apply directly to employers.”
