Bonnyville RCMP Update May 19-26

The Bonnyville RCMP were involved in 191 investigations between May 19-26.

On May 22 at 1:00 a.m., the Bonnyville RCMP responded to a report of a suspected impaired driver at the 7/11 on 37 St. in Town. The member located the suspect vehicle and conducted a traffic stop.  The driver displayed signs of impairment and a Mandatory Alcohol Screening was preformed, resulting in a fail. The 34-year-old driver was issued Provincial Sanctions and his vehicle was impounded.

On May 22 at 5:00 a.m., the Bonnyville RCMP responded to a report of a truck stolen from a residence in Glendon. The truck was later located by Cold Lake RCMP resulting in the arrest or a 32-year-old male from Bonnyville. 32-year-old Ryan GREER of Bonnyville has been charged with theft of motor vehicle and driving while prohibited. He was brought before a Justice of the Peace and remanded.

On May 21 at 1:00 a.m., the Bonnyville RCMP conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle that was driving with no headlights on 50 Ave in Bonnyville. The driver displayed signs of impairment and a Mandatory Alcohol Screening was preformed, resulting in a fail. The 32-year-old driver was issued Provincial Sanctions and his vehicle was impounded.

On May 25 at 2:25 p.m., the Bonnyville RCMP conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle on Road 1 in Kehewin Cree Nation. The driver displayed signs of impairment and a Mandatory Alcohol Screening was preformed, resulting in a fail. The 41-year-old driver was issued Provincial Sanctions and his vehicle was impounded.

On May 25 at 10:00 p.m., the Bonnyville RCMP conducted a routine traffic stop on Railway Ave in Glendon.  The driver displayed signs of impairment. A Mandatory Alcohol Screening was conducted, resulting in a caution. The 40-year-old male was issued Provincial Sanction for Impaired Driving.
