Sometime overnight on October 14, suspects broke into a garage on the 4700 block of 42 Avenue in Bonnyville and stole a vintage 1965 red Plymouth Fury 3. RCMP were on the lookout for the car for days and were able to locate it on a property in Kehewin Cree Nation. The car has been safely returned to its owner. Anyone with information on the theft of this car is asked to contact the Bonnyville RCMP or Crimestoppers.
On October 13 at 7:00 PM, a member was on patrol in Kehewin Cree Nation following up on an investigational tip when he noted a quad moving towards him. He motioned for the driver, who was not wearing a helmet, to stop which she did. The officer noted the quad seemed to have been recently painted over its original colour and the ignition had been tampered with. The driver was determined to have a suspended license and was bound to keep the peace from a previous court order. The quad was confirmed stolen from a residence in Bonnyville a few weeks prior. The 26-year-old female from Cold Lake was arrested and faces charges of Possession of Stolen Quad Over $5000, Driving while Suspended and Disobeying a Court Order. Her first appearance date is December 5th.
