Complete your census here!

Town of Bonnyville Council recently sent a letter to the Minister of Municipal Affairs to notify the department that the Town wishes to conduct a Municipal Census in 2024. Only residents within the Town limits will be included.

The last time the Town of Bonnyville conducted a Municipal Census was in 2017. Council decided to move ahead with a new census in order to properly capture the ever-growing population who call the Town home. Having accurate numbers assists the municipality in planning for community services and maximizing the amount of grant funding it receives from the federal and provincial governments.

This Municipal Census will include the Town’s Shadow Population, which refers to the temporary residents of a municipality who are employed by an industrial or commercial establishment in the municipality and who have worked at least 120 hours for that employer in the three-month period immediately preceding Census Day.

The Census will run from May 1 to July 31, 2024. All property owners within the Town of Bonnyville will be receiving a Secure Access Code (SAC) the week of May 5 via letter carriers.
