Public Works Mission:
Our mission is “to provide the quality and quantity of products and services required by the utility customers and ratepayers of the Town of Bonnyville in a timely manner and at a cost commensurate with the level of service desired”.
The Public Works Department operates four divisions of services for the benefit of the customers and ratepayers of the Town of Bonnyville, namely:
Roadways & Drainage, including Solid Waste Utility
Water Utility
Water Treatment and Wastewater Utility
Equipment Maintenance
Parks and Recreation
Garbage Collection
These services are provided on a 24-hours per day, 365-days per year basis by a total of 14 outside staff, one administrative support and one director. We serve over 5400 customers.
Utilities:
The utilities are distinguished from the other functions in that these are not tax supported, but are operated as self-supporting business units, generating a surplus annually for the benefit of residents.
Recycling Compound:
The Recycling Compound has been extended to allow drop-off services for the following:
Electronics
Hazardous waste
Paint
