David Sharun brings a wealth of experience and dedication to his role as Councillor for the Town of Bonnyville. First elected to council in 1991, he served for a decade before stepping away in 2001 to focus on family life. He returned to public service with a renewed passion and was re-elected on October 18, 2021.
In January 2025, Councillor Sharun was appointed Deputy Mayor, a role he embraced with enthusiasm and commitment. His leadership is marked by a hands-on approach, from cheque signing to chairing governance meetings, always striving to deepen his understanding of municipal operations and finances.
Now in retirement, Councillor Sharun is more dedicated than ever to serving the community. He sees this chapter as an opportunity to give back on a deeper level, acting as a proud ambassador for Bonnyville both locally and beyond.
