Councillor Brian McEvoy was elected on October 16, 2017 and re-elected on October 18, 2021. He is serving his second term on Council. Councillor McEvoy has lived in the area since 1996 and has two grown children; one in Edmonton and one here in the area. He is currently blessed with two grandchildren in Bonnyville.
He has over 38 years of experience working with and for Government at both the Provincial and Municipal level and has participated in several Provincial and National committees including Chair of an Underwriters Laboratories of Canada Standards Committee and President of the Alberta Fire Chiefs Association.
He has been involved in the community as a volunteer with local boards and youth groups since 1996.
