MUNICIPAL ELECTION – MONDAY, OCTOBER 18, 2021
ADVANCE VOTE: WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 6, 2021 (1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.)
ADVANCE VOTE: THURSDAY, OCTOBER 7, 2021 (1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.)
ADVANCE VOTE: SATURDAY, OCTOBER 9, 2021 (10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.)
ADVANCE VOTE: WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 13, 2021 (1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.)

ELECTOR ASSISTANCE AT HOME VOTE – SAME DATES AND TIMES AS ADVANCE VOTE DATES
Bonnyville, Alberta – The official nomination results (after the mandatory 24-hour waiting period) for Mayor and Councillors for the Town of Bonnyville municipal election on Monday, October 18, 2021 are:
Chad Colbourne – Incumbent
Brian McEvoy – Incumbent
The Municipal Election will be held at the BONNYVILLE SENIORS DROP-IN CENTRE – 4813 – 47 AVENUE between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. on October 18, 2021.
An election will be held for the election of a Senate nominee for the purposes of the Alberta Senate Election Act.
A vote of the electors will be held on the following referendum questions under the Referendum Act.
1. Should section 36(2) of the Constitution Act, 1982 – Parliament and the government of Canada’s commitment to the principle of making equalization payments – be removed from the constitution?
2. Do you want Alberta to adopt year-round Daylight Saving Time, which is summer hours, eliminating the need to change our clocks twice a year?
For the Senate Election and Referendum Questions, the Town of Bonnyville will also be conducting the election for the Summer Village of Bonnyville Beach and Summer Village of Pelican Narrows residents.
The Advance Poll will be held at the Town Administration Office in the Council Chambers, 4917 – 49 Avenue on the dates and times as listed above.
We will also be conducting an Elector Assistance at Home Vote on the same days as the Advance Voting dates. Please call Renee Stoyles, Substitute Returning Officer to add your name, address and phone number to the list and Town election staff will come to your home to conduct the vote. You will need to contact Mrs. Stoyles by Monday, October 4, 2021.
