Call Out for Volunteers for Town Committees

Council for the Town of Bonnyville needs a few good people to volunteer on its committees.  Community Volunteers assist in the local decision-making process by providing recommendations and advice on the program and policies of the Town of Bonnyville.

Bonnyville RCMP Update Aug. 25 to Sept. 1

To kick of this week’s media release, S/Sgt. Parke would like to remind motorists that school is back in session and school zones are back in effect. It’s important for motorists to slow down when traveling through school zones. It’s equally important for pedestrian students to remain vigilant when walking, whether it be walking to school from home or just getting off the bus and walking from there. Ideally pedestrians should make eye contact with motorists approaching a crosswalk. Just because the pedestrian has the right of way doesn’t mean a vehicle may not still drive through a crosswalk. Everyone has a part to play in pedestrian safety.
