The R.J. Lalonde Arena has been operating under the umbrella of the
Centennial Centre since the fall of 2007.
Opened on November 27, 1982, the facility is named
after the late Rosaire Joseph (R.J.) Lalonde in dedication of his 19
years of volunteer service to minor hockey in Bonnyville.
Home of the Alberta Junior Hockey League Bonnyville
Pontiacs, the R.J. Lalonde Arena features a 200' X 88' ice surface
and seating for 1,800 spectators.
The ice season begins in August and lasts until
March (longer if the Pontiacs enjoy playoff success).
