Kids Day Out

Kids Day Out is intended as respite child care for the parent as much as a preschool experience for the child. Admission is on a first come first serve basis. Kids Day Out operates Monday through Friday mornings from 9:30-11:45 am and Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday afternoon from 1:00 – 3:15 pm, days of operation subject to change. 

Children in this program must be at least 19 months and may not be older than 5 years of age. The number of children in each class is determined daily based on a ratio established by Alberta Ministry of Children’s Services.   

Parents may phone in to reserve a space for Kids Day Out prior to arrival – reservations are strongly recommended.  Calls must be made after 8:30 a.m. on the day of the visit. Parents much have a valid punch card on file and the cost of the visit will be deducted from the card at the time of the reservation and is non-refundable.  Punch cards are available for one, five or ten visits; the ten visit card is sold for the cost of nine visits.

Parents with special needs children may apply to the Children’s Service Authority for respite care which will reimburse parents for the cost of Kids Day Out – please enquire about this possibility.
