The Town of Bonnyville is a unique and wonderful place to call home; it offers the best of both country and city living.

The natural beauty of the Town with its wetlands and trail around Jessie Lake, not to mention the many lakes within a short distance of Bonnyville, makes it a gem for nature lovers in all seasons. Its central location in Northeast Alberta makes it the keystone in the heavy oil industry and opens numerous doors for future opportunities.

The specialty shops along the attractive Main Street Common offer excellent products and personalized service second to none, making shopping a truly pleasant experience.

Bonnyville is proud of its state-of-the-art Health Centre staffed by dedicated physicians and visiting specialists. Public and Separate schools offer a variety of programs, and our unique Parent Child Centre caters to preschoolers and the needs of young families.

Bonnyville is the only town in the northeast that has a Junior "A" Hockey Team. We enjoy any number of sports and recreational opportunities including hockey, curling, golf, baseball, bowling, hiking, bird watching, fishing, hunting, cross-country skiing, and snowmobiling.

The new Centennial Centre, operational since the fall of 2007, greatly enhances the recreational and educational opportunities available in Bonnyville.  The Centre houses a field house for soccer and other sporting events.  Post secondary educational programs are offered by Portage College in the new C.N.R.L Learning Centre.  A second arena in the Centre also provides much needed ice time for hockey teams and figure skaters. Our community is a superb choice as to where to put down roots and raise a family.

Finally, you will find here confident, energetic and community-minded people who welcome newcomers to our growing, dynamic town.
